They sell halal meat, all kinds of South Asian fishes. After hopping from one desi store to another, we are glad we found this store, and decided to stick with it. Not only you would get top quality meat and fish, but some great homemade meals on weekends as well! The menu changes every week, but the Halwa Poori is constant! I have been wanting to come here for a long time, and finally before leaving Columbus, I came to try it! I am so glad I did, but also cursing myself for not doing it earlier! Humongous pooris (that were so similar to Bangali luchis), two types of sabzis (potato and chickpea), along with a bowlful of Sooji Halwa oozing the aroma of ghee into the air - this breakfast was all I needed to fix my bad day. What I really loved that the food has a very desi feel to it. You know, those many many street joints in the alleys of South Asia, where you would order an item, but the sabzis are included in it, and chai is free, the breakfast was just like that. I am definitely going to come back here again, not just for my meat and fish supplies, but also to taste other meals prepared by the chef who invited me to come back for his Biryani!

It is THE place in Columbus to get meat especially goat meat if you're looking to make South Asian meat delicacies. They have very good quality chicken, lamb and beef and, a healthy collection of fish as well. Whenever I have to buy goat meat or bone-in chicken or south asian fish variants I trust this place more than any other. The quality of the meat and fish is closely comparable to what I can get in the best shops in India. I mentioned India, since I am from there. However, this place is owned by a dashing Pakistani gentleman. Since I mentioned him, I must praise the impeccable customer service of his employees and him. They are very courteous and they give me a homely feel to be honest. Now coming to their restaurant part, which is active only during weekends, where the chef whips up something different every weekend. Most, if not all of the menu items are mouth watering south asian delicacies with their taste as authentic as you can get in the homeland. Poori-Halwa is a common menu item every week and it definitely deserves special mention here. It was as 'desi' as it gets. Three huge pooris with kabuli chana and a potato curry (the very first one that comes to your mind when you think of poori) and a bowlful of sooji halwa made with ghee. Make sure to get some chai as well since it's so darn good and it's complementary too - how cool is that! Apart from their products and restaurant food, I would just go there to get a feel of home in this land of the dreams. And what better signifies the diverse nature of this land than a south asian man owning a successful business in this country, which in many ways has been enriched by immigrants.
